Improved Consistency

Automated manufacturing helps minimize part-to-part variability, delivering consistent quality for North American manufacturing standards.

Deflash and Trimming

During molding, a seam can form where mold sections meet, creating a parting line. For optimal performance and appearance, this excess material — known as flash — must be precisely removed.

As part of our comprehensive, customized manufacturing services in North America, Comoldco operates both single and dual robotic flex cells in-house. These systems are programmable to perform and consistently repeat detailed operations such as deflashing and trimming with exceptional accuracy. Our flex cell robotic technology delivers high precision and production flexibility without added cost. By integrating automated manufacturing methods, we achieve exact, repeatable part uniformity across low-, medium-, and high-volume production, while also supporting faster turnaround times.

Our in-house waterjet cutting system produces clean, highly precise cuts and can be programmed to follow virtually any contour or shape. Using high-pressure water forced through a fine orifice, the system generates a high-velocity jet stream capable of cutting a wide range of materials with extreme accuracy — from foam and plastics to stainless steel and granite — making it an ideal solution for diverse deflashing and trimming needs.

Drilling and Machining

Comoldco leverages advanced automated manufacturing technologies in North America to carry out a wide range of secondary and finishing operations. Integrating robotics into drilling and machining processes minimizes errors, reduces part-to-part variability, and helps lower overall production costs. Automation is particularly efficient for smaller production runs or projects involving multiple part variations. For these operations, Comoldco utilizes multi-axis flex cell robotic systems to optimize productivity while keeping per-unit costs competitive.

Our flex cell robotic platforms for drilling and machining are designed to be standardized and adaptable across multiple applications. This approach simplifies programming, maintenance, and long-term product support while ensuring consistent, high-precision results.
